Upland’s in-game UPX token is available in the Upland store. UPX offers players the freedom to buy, sell and trade properties using a peer-to-peer trustless method of exchange.
Players will need to buy UPX with Credit Card, Paypal, Crypto or within the mobile App (Android/iOS) in order to purchase properties and other items within the game. UPX is implemented as a utility token (value carrier/medium of exchange), derived from the EOSIO token system contract, and is not tradable outside of the game. UPX can be purchased in fixed amounts from the Upland store, which is located in the top right corner of the app.
Live the digital property tycoon dream and collect UPX on each of your Upland properties. UPX earnings can be collected every three hours and will be added to your Upland account.
The amount of UPX you earn on a property is dependent on the initial property value, and your UPX earnings can be boosted by completing collections.
The Upland Collections group together a limited number of properties in the same area or with similar characteristics. This could be anything from owning three addresses on the same street or collecting multiple museum properties from across the city, for example.
If you complete an Upland collection, you will earn a one-time UPX bonus and an earnings boost on all properties within the collection.
Upland’s marketplace allows players to trade digital assets directly with one another. Players can put their properties up for sale and accept UPX as payment.
Players can also accept other properties as payment, and swap properties directly with other Uplanders. The handy marketplace feature also allows players to make offers on other players’ properties, even if they haven’t been listed for sale.
Once you make an offer on a property, your UPX will be placed in escrow until the player accepts or rejects your offer. You can also retract your offer before this stage.
Each Marketplace transaction is subject to a 10% community contribution fee, 5% from the buyer and 5% from the seller. This contribution goes back into the Upland economy to support community functions.
