Leveling Up (Upland Status)
Visitor Status
Everyone starts as a Visitor. Explore Upland and use your UPX to buy FSA Properties. Until you level up, you won’t be eligible for certain activities that require KYC identity verification (e.g., Competitive and Spark Tier Treasure Hunts, car racing, marketplace transactions, etc.).
Ownership of Digital Assets
As an Upland Visitor, you are a few steps away from enjoying true and permanent ownership of any collected digital asset. The items and properties you acquire as a Visitor will be permanently tied to your account when you level up to an Uplander.
Your Upland Visa
On your journey to becoming an Uplander, you will need to renew your Upland visa at least once every seven days to maintain ownership of your accumulated assets. There is no limit to how many times you can renew your visa. If you lose your visa, unfortunately you will lose the assets in your wallet (properties, UPX, etc.). However, the account created with your email address will still be in the database if you want to re-open your account.
Note: Restoring an account does not restore assets.
Marketplace Participation
As long as you are a Visitor, you cannot trade in the marketplace with other players.
Uplander Status
Once you’ve accumulated a total net worth of 10,000 UPX, you’re eligible for Uplander status. Net worth includes the combination of your UPX balance and purchased properties.
True Ownership
Becoming an Uplander is like getting a citizenship card for the Upland metaverse. The big benefit is that Uplanders enjoy true ownership of their digital assets. As an Uplander, everything in your Upland wallet is permanently tied to your account, including properties, UPX, Spark, etc. Nobody, not even Uplandme, Inc., can take away your assets.
Marketplace Participation
Uplanders are free to trade assets with other players in the open marketplace for both UPX and US Dollars (subject to KYC). See what deals you can score!
Uplander Perks
As an Uplander, the metaverse opens up to you! Customize your profile with more Block Explorers than Visitors. Build residential or commercial structures on properties. Decorate properties with map assets to personalize your spaces. Collect Block Explorers, Legit collectibles, and other items. You can also vote (after KYC Identity Verification) to help shape your neighborhoods and beyond!
Security
When leveling up to Uplander, you automatically receive an account on the EOS mainnet blockchain dedicated to managing your Upland assets. You can see this by clicking the “View Uplander Status” button and then clicking your unique EOS account number.
Tip
Pros no longer have access to FSA properties, so make use of them while you’re an Uplander. Complete KYC Identity Verification to be eligible for better Treasure Hunting rewards, voting, and more. There’s a bonus Spark reward when you level up to an Uplander during Spark Week’s Status-Up rewards! Take advantage if you can to boost your Spark stash.
Pro Status
Once you’ve accumulated a total net worth of 100,000 UPX you will be eligible for Pro status. Net worth includes the combination of your UPX balance and purchased properties.
Pro Perks
As a Pro player, you have access to more exclusive Block Explorers to personalize your experience further. This is the perfect way to show off your growing reputation!
Tip
Consider “deeper” experiences such as a Metaventure shop, Factory manufacturing, or car racing to up your game! Also, you may be eligible for a greater Spark reward when you level up to Pro, especially if there’s an active level-up promotion such as the Status-Up rewards during Spark Week.
Director Status
Once you’ve accumulated a total net worth of 1,000,000 UPX you will be eligible for Director status. Net worth includes the combination of your UPX balance and purchased properties.
Director Perks
As a Director, you are entitled to a custom 1-of-1 Block Explorer made to your specifications by the Upland team. Submit your design at a City Hall building to start the process. When leveling up to a Director, you are also guaranteed a Spark reward (currently 0.5 Spark).
Tip
You may be eligible for a greater Spark reward when you level up to Director if there’s an active level-up promotion, such as the Status-Up rewards during Spark Week.
Executive Status
Once you’ve accumulated a total net worth of 10,000,000 UPX you will be eligible for Director status. Net worth includes the combination of your UPX balance and purchased properties.
Executive Perks
As an Executive, you are entitled to a custom map asset item made by the Upland team. Submit your design at any City Hall to start the process. When leveling up to Executive, you are also guaranteed a Spark reward (currently 1 Spark).
Tip
You may be eligible for a greater Spark reward when you level up to Executive if there’s an active level-up promotion, such as the Status-Up rewards during Spark Week.
Chief Executive Status
Congratulations! You’ve made it to the top of the Upland mountain! By amassing an incredible total value of 100,000,000 you are truly in rarefied air.
Chief Executive Perks
When leveling up to Chief Executive, you are guaranteed a Spark reward (currently 2 Spark). Plus, there’s an incredible badge for your Block Explorer. You earned it!
